These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Challenge Surveillance Solutions public website (the "Website"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

These Terms apply to the public Website only. Access to our secure operational platform (accessed via the Login button) is governed by separate agreements entered into between us and customer organizations during onboarding.

1. About the Website

The Website is the public-facing informational presence of Challenge Surveillance Solutions, a Canadian company providing training and coordination services for public-safety organizations.

The Website exists to describe our services and company, to invite and receive inquiries, and to direct authorized customers to our secure platform. It is not intended to provide professional, operational, legal, or tactical advice, and no content on the Website should be relied upon for operational decisions.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Website to:

  • Read the information we publish
  • Submit an inquiry through the contact form
  • Share links to pages of the Website with colleagues
  • Access the secure platform if you are an authorized customer

Use of the Website must at all times comply with applicable law, these Terms, and ordinary standards of good faith.

3. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, the secure platform, our servers, or any connected systems or networks
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Website or bypass any security or authentication measures, except under an authorized disclosure process
  • Use automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar) to access the Website at a rate or volume that could degrade service for other users, or to harvest personal information
  • Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive contact-form messages
  • Upload, transmit, or link to malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content
  • Reproduce, copy, distribute, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content of the Website without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable copyright law
  • Use the Website, our name, our logo, or our trademarks in any manner that falsely implies affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Website or the servers or networks on which it operates
  • Violate any applicable Canadian federal, provincial, or municipal law, or the law of any jurisdiction from which you access the Website

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website — including text, images, logos, graphics, the Challenge coin mark, and the design and layout of the site — is owned by or licensed to Challenge Surveillance Solutions, and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You may view and briefly quote content for non-commercial informational or educational purposes, with attribution. Any other reproduction, modification, distribution, public display, or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

5. Content on the Website

We work to keep the content on the Website accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or omissions, or that it is complete, current, or suitable for your particular purpose. Content may change without notice.

Content on the Website is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Website constitutes operational, tactical, legal, professional, or other advice. If you require advice specific to your situation, contact us or qualified professionals directly.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

The Website uses a small number of third-party services (for example, bot protection and font delivery) to operate; these are described in our Privacy Policy.

The Website may also link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of linked websites.

7. Disclaimers

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties in connection with the Website, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and freedom from error or malicious code.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Challenge Surveillance Solutions, its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website — whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Website or these Terms will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Challenge Surveillance Solutions and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your violation of applicable law.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applied to the Website in a way that could harm other users, or if required to do so by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia for any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Website, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual-property rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@challengesurveillance.com or submitted through our contact form.
